This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Lead the recruitment of international students to Swinburne University of Technology from China and assist with recruitment efforts for the Malaysia campus.
• Attract high-caliber international students to Swinburne's campuses in Melbourne.
• Advocate for SUT's value proposition and student experience while maintaining the University’s reputation and risk profile.
• Assist with education articulation arrangements in China, agent management, school recruitment, educational partnerships, sponsor relationships, and direct sales channels.
• Generate leads and enhance the conversion rate from leads to applications and accepted offers to enrollments.
• Identify new student recruitment opportunities for Melbourne and Malaysia offerings, including the use of digital technologies.
• Travel extensively within the region/market, approximately three months each calendar year, along with additional local channel engagement.
• Execute sales and recruitment activities and meet annual enrollment targets.
• Develop and support university articulation partnerships and pathway agreements.
• Organize online and in-person Open Days, information seminars, and conversion workshops.
• Collaborate with Future Students and Marketing teams on digital strategies, social media postings, brand development, and lead acquisition.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of SUT products and processes to advise prospective international students.
• Utilize the CRM system to manage qualified leads across direct, agency, and partner channels, converting leads into applications.
• Create quarterly activity plans and monthly activity reports, ensuring travel and expenditure align with SUT requirements.
• Train international agents and school counselors to ensure compliance with Australian and international legislation.
• Stay informed about the ESOS Act, DIBP regulations, AVCC National Code, and Privacy legislation.
• Develop specialized knowledge of Chinese education systems, qualifications, pathways, and admissions requirements.
• Generate performance data, evaluation reports, market insights, and recommendations regarding recruitment activities and agent performance.
• Research and interpret qualifications and experience to uphold University entry standards.
• Assess applications and issue offer letters and eCoEs as necessary.
• Monitor visa statuses in PRISMS and maintain communication with students throughout the admissions cycle.
• Provide timely, accurate, and efficient customer service to students, agents, partners, and stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough student background checks and contribute to recruitment strategies, compliance audits, agent evaluations, and promotional materials.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 5–10 years of relevant experience; or extensive experience with specialist expertise or broad knowledge in a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• In-depth knowledge of international student recruitment and/or admissions practices.
• Ability to quickly learn about SUT’s products, courses, policies, and procedures.
• Experience working with international students and in stakeholder relationship marketing utilizing a CRM, with a proven track record of closing sales with this demographic.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong influencing skills that lead to successful business outcomes.
• Capability to create high-quality documentation, including reports, plans, policies, and correspondence.
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, including the evaluation and interpretation of complex data and making admissions assessments.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, achieve target outcomes, and resolve issues independently, using sound judgment, flexibility, and initiative.
• Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and clients from diverse backgrounds and provide responsive customer service.
• Outstanding English communication skills and fluency in Mandarin.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Knowledge and proficiency in CRMs (desirable).
• Familiarity with StudyLink Connect platforms (desirable).
• Experience using Chinese social media tools such as WeChat and Red (desirable).
• Background in customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion strategies (desirable).
• Understanding of nurture marketing, student decision-making processes, and future student lifecycles (desirable).
• Willingness to work during evenings and weekends, and travel extensively in China and overseas as needed.
• Performance-related pay may be tied to the successful achievement of KPIs, subject to the signed contract.
