πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee litigation, disputes related to government contracts, bid protests, claims, and other contentious issues from the initial stages to resolution.

β€’ Act as the strategic legal lead by aligning business stakeholders, managing outside counsel, and formulating litigation and resolution strategies.

β€’ Supervise outside counsel, including strategy formulation, staffing, budgeting, work planning, and performance evaluation.

β€’ Provide guidance to legal and business leadership regarding legal, financial, operational, and reputational risks.

β€’ Conduct sensitive internal investigations concerning legal, regulatory, ethics, security, employee misconduct, and policy compliance matters.

β€’ Create investigation plans, conduct witness interviews, assess evidence, prepare findings and recommendations, brief stakeholders, and assist with corrective actions.

β€’ Offer advice on disputes and compliance issues related to U.S. public procurement laws and regulations, including FAR, the False Claims Act, and the FAR Mandatory Disclosure Rule.

β€’ Support responses to government investigations and enforcement actions involving the DOJ, Offices of Inspectors General, and State Attorneys General.

β€’ Manage litigation holds, document preservation, e-discovery strategies, and internal coordination efforts.

β€’ Collaborate with Compliance, Security, Human Resources, Government Relations, Marketing and Communications, and business leaders.

β€’ Foster and advocate for a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance.

β€’ Report to the Lead Counsel for Litigation & Corporate Investigations.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ U.S. Citizenship is required.

β€’ Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

β€’ Eligibility for admission as Virginia Corporate Counsel.

β€’ 4–7 years of legal experience in a well-known law firm, government agency, corporate legal department, or a combination of these.

β€’ Proven experience managing litigation, government investigations, or other intricate disputes.

β€’ Significant experience advising on U.S. federal government contracts and public procurement issues, including FAR and related laws or regulations.

β€’ Experience in coordinating complex legal matters involving various internal stakeholders.

β€’ Experience in conducting internal investigations and creating practical, risk-based recommendations.

β€’ Strong judgment, analytical skills, and both written and verbal communication abilities.

β€’ Capability to independently manage multiple complex matters while prioritizing effectively.

β€’ Executive presence with the ability to establish trusted relationships across legal and business domains.

β€’ A collaborative, business-focused approach to resolving complex legal challenges.

β€’ Applicants seeking employment in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not currently or will not in the future require visa sponsorship.

β€’ Bonus qualifications include experience with bid protests, Contract Disputes Act claims, DFARS, False Claims Act investigations or litigation, DOJ/OIG/State Attorneys General investigations, substantial e-discovery and document preservation experience, prior in-house legal experience, involvement in sensitive corporate or personnel misconduct investigations, active Top Secret clearance, and capability to periodically commute to Arlington, Virginia.
