This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Draft, review, and modify commercial agreements, such as NDAs, vendor contracts, customer agreements, and other routine contracts.

• Assist in contract negotiations by creating drafts and revisions, researching relevant issues, and collaborating with senior members of the Legal team.

• Contribute to product and regulatory matters by investigating legal requirements and evaluating product materials and disclosures.

• Aid in the preparation of terms, policies, notices, and additional customer-facing documentation.

• Conduct research on federal and state laws and regulations, translating findings into actionable guidance.

• Support regulatory and licensing efforts, including filings, information collection, record keeping, and correspondence with regulators, banks, and partners.

• Assist with disputes, litigation, collections, and recovery issues.

• Maintain corporate records and assist with governance and general corporate matters.

• Collaborate with various teams across Flex to gather facts and comprehend business requirements.

• Enhance legal templates, playbooks, processes, and tools.

• Leverage AI and other technologies to automate routine legal tasks and boost team productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active bar license, or the ability to gain admission promptly.

• 0–2 years of legal experience.

• Strong academic background with excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and thoughtful work.

• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

• Sound judgment with the ability to determine when to work independently or seek assistance.

• Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating with both legal and non-legal personnel.

• Interest in contracts and commercial work, along with a desire to enhance drafting and negotiation skills.

• Enthusiasm for fintech, financial services, technology, or startups.

• Curiosity about AI and a willingness to use it responsibly for research, drafting, analysis, and efficiency improvements.

• Openness to handling a diverse range of assignments and learning about various aspects of in-house legal practice.
