This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver cost management services throughout the entire project lifecycle for commercial real estate construction projects across the United States.
β’ Provide guidance to clients on procurement strategies and oversee the vendor prequalification process.
β’ Evaluate proposals, bids, and bid leveling documents; conduct bid interviews; and manage vendor selections.
β’ Create, assess, and present project estimates that encompass construction, fees, direct work, and additional costs.
β’ Offer value engineering recommendations and risk assessments to clients.
β’ Review, verify, and contest vendor costs utilizing benchmark data.
β’ Set up cost reporting schedules and review and present cost reports and forecasts.
β’ Maintain commercial risk registers and facilitate periodic meetings with project teams and vendors.
β’ Oversee cost control, payment applications, contractor entitlements, change orders, and contractual disputes.
β’ Supervise invoicing processes.
β’ Benchmark performance against successful commissions.
β’ Handle final accounting, post-contract audits, and account closures.
β’ Conduct post-contract evaluations and create lessons-learned and training documentation.
β’ Establish project handover procedures.
β’ Utilize Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, cost estimating software, and take-off software.
β’ Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.
β’ Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field in construction.
β’ A minimum of 3β5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction sector.
β’ RICS accreditation or progress towards it is advantageous.
β’ Experience in supporting cost management for medium to large-scale construction projects.
β’ Strongly preferred experience in construction consultancy.
β’ Solid understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, including procurement methods, value management, and value engineering.
β’ Excellent communication skills.
β’ Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
