
Cost Engineer – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Create and oversee comprehensive project budgets, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and services.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis and forecasting to guarantee projects remain within budget constraints.
• Recognize potential financial risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them.
• Prepare and deliver detailed cost reports and progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and contract management to provide cost control and planning guidance.
• Discover opportunities for cost reductions and enhancements in project design and execution.
• Engage with and manage external quantity surveyors while validating construction cost estimates.
• Update and maintain a database for historical cost data to aid future projects.
• Establish and monitor cost performance metrics, leading monthly cost reporting and analysis efforts.
• At least 4 years of experience in cost engineering, particularly in data center construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities, expertise in cost estimation software, exceptional communication and presentation skills, along with a robust understanding of financial forecasting and cost accounting principles.
• Excellent presentation skills with the capability to excel in a client-facing environment.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
