
Cost Engineer β Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
β’ Create and oversee comprehensive project budgets, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and services.
β’ Conduct thorough cost analysis and forecasting to guarantee projects remain within budget constraints.
β’ Recognize potential financial risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them.
β’ Prepare and deliver detailed cost reports and progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and contract management to provide cost control and planning guidance.
β’ Discover opportunities for cost reductions and enhancements in project design and execution.
β’ Engage with and manage external quantity surveyors while validating construction cost estimates.
β’ Update and maintain a database for historical cost data to aid future projects.
β’ Establish and monitor cost performance metrics, leading monthly cost reporting and analysis efforts.
β’ At least 4 years of experience in cost engineering, particularly in data center construction.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
β’ An advanced degree is preferred.
β’ Strong analytical abilities, expertise in cost estimation software, exceptional communication and presentation skills, along with a robust understanding of financial forecasting and cost accounting principles.
β’ Excellent presentation skills with the capability to excel in a client-facing environment.
β’ Strong organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
