Cortex Domain Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the Cortex portfolio authority for SOC Transformation

• Develop technical solutions that safeguard customers’ critical business objectives

• Advocate for Security Intelligence and Automation, XDR, Attack Surface Management, SOAR, and Incident Response solutions

• Work in conjunction with account teams to propose and create customer solutions

• Deliver presentations to customers, ranging from practitioners to senior executives

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for Cortex and address RFIs/RFPs

• Lead and facilitate customer demonstrations

• Plan and oversee Proof of Value projects for potential customers and partners

• Enhance technical validation and Proof of Value success rates

• Discuss product alignment with customer needs and unique features

• Design solutions that enhance and simplify customers’ security frameworks

• Document High-Level Designs and Key Use Cases

• Assist customers in building and enhancing services around Cortex solutions

• Lead discussions on industry trends and shifts in the security landscape

• Position Palo Alto Networks or partner-provided services for implementation and value realization

• Initiate projects to boost team performance and facilitate the adoption of organizational policies

• Relay customer insights to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Security Operations or pre-sales/sales engineering within SIEM, SOAR, SOC, and/or XDR/EDR environments

• Experience with IBM QRadar design, deployment, and/or pre-sales is highly preferred

• Proven track record of working with customers

• Strong understanding of Security Operations Center processes

• In-depth knowledge of SIEM and/or SOAR solutions

• Experience in scripting is a plus; Python is preferred

• Proficient in English

• Must be capable of supporting a field sales role; travel may be necessary for in-person customer engagements
