Corporate Payroll Tax Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete payroll tax compliance function for US and UK corporate payroll at OSV.

• Prepare, process, and submit federal, state, and local payroll tax filings and payments.

• Conduct audits of payroll tax accounts across different jurisdictions and rectify discrepancies.

• Investigate and resolve tax notices while preparing necessary amendments.

• Maintain Powers of Attorney in all registered tax jurisdictions.

• Manage online tax agency portals effectively.

• Administer garnishment orders and cultivate relationships with garnishing trustees.

• Assist with year-end payroll tax processing, including W-2s, W-2Cs, and other essential filings.

• Keep abreast of payroll tax law changes and highlight compliance implications.

• Serve as a backup processor for biweekly US multi-state payroll and monthly UK payroll.

• Collaborate with HR and managers on timesheets, leave, data changes, adjustments, and off-cycle payments.

• Maintain and support Workday Payroll configuration, administration, and integrations.

• Aid in payroll reporting tools and respond to ad hoc data requests.

• Document and uphold process checklists and standard operating procedures.

• Participate in mass data loads while ensuring data integrity utilizing Workday tools.

• Analyze payroll and tax processes and propose improvements.

• Manage payroll and tax inquiries through a ticketing system, providing timely resolutions.

• Supply payroll data and tax information to HR, Accounting, and relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on payroll projects and initiatives.

• Facilitate change management by creating user documentation and standard operating procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll tax compliance, which includes filing, auditing, notice resolution, and amendment processing.

• Solid understanding of federal, state, and local payroll and tax laws applicable to the US and UK.

• Strong proficiency in Workday Payroll, with capabilities in analyzing, troubleshooting, and reporting on system, data, or processing issues.

• Experience with TaxEx or similar tax filing software.

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Preferred: experience in processing US multi-state and/or UK payroll.

• Preferred: FPC or CPP certification.

• Preferred: Workday certification.

• Preferred: experience in managing garnishments and relationships with trustees.
