This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Provide paralegal assistance for a designated practice area under limited supervision of an attorney.
• Support the Arity Legal Counseling team within the Business Law sector.
• Act as a subject matter expert on contract workflows, processes, templates, drafting, legal research, and contract signing procedures.
• Proactively identify, summarize, and track relevant issues.
• Manage the intake of new matters and collect relevant documents for attorney review.
• Review commercial contract deal sheets, input new matter data, and complete contract templates based on commercial criteria.
• Review and clarify aspects of forms for in-house clients.
• Conduct, summarize, and analyze legal research, including applicable laws, regulations, and case law.
• Independently assess whether additional research is warranted.
• Maintain corporate records and archives in compliance with records retention policies.
• Review new and proposed legislation and evaluate its relevance.
• Provide attorneys with recommendations and updates as necessary.
• Candidates must fulfill the regulatory and qualification standards for the paralegal profession in the state of employment; OR possess an equivalent combination of education and at least five (5) years of relevant paralegal experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of paralegal experience in a corporate legal setting.
• Experience assisting multiple attorneys in a high-volume, fast-paced legal environment.
• Proven knowledge of corporate and/or compliance processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Extensive experience using Microsoft 365 to enhance collaboration, communication, and workflow efficiency.
• Skilled in Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration tools.
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, capable of effectively managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and effectively with attorneys and team members.
• Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to evolving business requirements.
• Keen attention to detail and follow-through skills, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
• Established collaboration and relationship-building skills, able to work effectively across legal teams and with business partners.
• Background investigation required.
• Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, equipped with appropriate desk and seating.
• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
