This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Analyze AI-generated answers related to Australian corporate and commercial law.
• Assess legal reasoning across mergers and acquisitions, transactions, governance, and other corporate issues.
• Detect significant legal mistakes, omissions, unsupported assertions, and misleading logic.
• Determine if responses meet the standards expected in professional Australian legal practice.
• Compare identical legal inquiries across two different AI platforms.
• Evaluate responses for their accuracy, completeness, reasoning quality, and practical applicability.
• Rate responses using a standardized evaluation rubric.
• Consistently apply evaluation criteria across various legal questions.
• Provide a concise written rationale for each assessment.
• Explain the legal strengths, weaknesses, and inaccuracies identified.
• Recognize any missing issues or analytical steps that may impact the answers.
• Utilize professional experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, transactions, governance, commercial agreements, and deal execution matters.
• Evaluate legal analysis from the viewpoint of practicing counsel.
• Uphold professional standards that align with established law firm practices.
• Must be qualified to practice law in Australia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm; 3+ years is preferred.
• Substantial professional experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, or transactional practice.
• Primary professional experience within a reputable law firm.
• Candidates currently working in-house may be considered if they transitioned from law firm practice within the last two years.
• Strong understanding of Australian corporate and commercial law.
• Native or fluent English proficiency.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to articulate legal reasoning clearly.
• Exceptional attention to legal accuracy, analytical consistency, and detail.
• Capability to work independently while adhering to structured rubrics and deadlines.
• Experience in reviewing complex legal research or written legal analysis is highly regarded.
• Project work will be subject to confidentiality and NDA requirements.
• All work must be completed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party.
