Corporate Legal Consultant – Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Prepare, assess, and negotiate commercial contracts, which include vendor agreements, client MSAs/SOWs, NDAs, partnership agreements, and reseller agreements.

• Provide guidance on corporate structuring and governance within Uvation's multi-entity framework.

• Oversee regulatory compliance across various jurisdictions, such as GDPR, UAE data protection law, employment law, and compliance related to specific technology infrastructure.

• Assist with contractor and employment agreements in collaboration with HR.

• Offer advice and manage disputes with vendors/suppliers, invoice discrepancies, and contractual escalations.

• Support legal efforts related to fundraising, investments, and M&A as necessary.

• Coordinate with external counsel when local representation is essential.

• Keep corporate records, board resolutions, and statutory filings updated across entities.

• Actively identify and communicate legal and regulatory risks to leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.

• Current bar admission/license in UAE and/or a European jurisdiction.

• At least 5–8 years of experience in corporate/commercial law.

• Ideally, experience working in-house or at a corporate law firm that serves technology/infrastructure clients.

• Proven track record with cross-border contracts and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

• Practical knowledge of GDPR and UAE data protection regulations.

• Background in advising on contractor versus employee classification issues in various jurisdictions.

• Previous experience in the technology, cloud infrastructure, or AI/GPU sectors is preferred.

• Familiarity with Deel or similar EOR/contractor management platforms is preferred.

• Capability to operate independently across jurisdictions with minimal local precedent.

• Skill in identifying risks early and articulating them in clear, understandable language.
