This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist the Corporate Governance Program Manager with enterprise corporate governance, compliance, and ESG programs.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Environmental Sustainability, and other departments to revise internal business policies.
• Aid in the retirement or consolidation of obsolete policies.
• Track and monitor emerging laws, regulations, reporting requirements, and industry developments related to ESG, sustainability, environmental issues, accessibility, modern slavery, and social governance.
• Report impact assessments to the Program Manager.
• Maintain the regulatory inventory/tracker, including new requirements, effective dates, affected business functions, responsible stakeholders, and implementation activities.
• Assist with projects related to ESG reporting and disclosure requirements, including considerations for CSRD and ISSB/TCFD transitions.
• Oversee compliance with Modern Slavery Act requirements and related human rights, supply chain, and responsible business obligations.
• Manage cross-functional corporate governance, ESG, legal, and compliance projects from initiation to completion.
• Oversee project planning, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and coordination among stakeholders.
• Administer the corporate accessibility inbox and manage accessibility-related inquiries, requests, and issues.
• Create project status reports, dashboards, trackers, presentations, and materials suitable for executive audiences.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business, Legal, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in Compliance, Business, or Corporate Governance.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of translating complex regulatory and legal concepts into clear, actionable language for non-legal audiences.
• Proficient computer skills, including project management tools like Asana and Jira, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, process improvement, and project management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives within deadlines.
• Capacity to operate in large global environments across multiple time zones.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Solid understanding of corporate governance frameworks, regulatory compliance obligations, and enterprise risk management principles.
• Experience in supporting or implementing compliance programs in areas such as modern slavery, accessibility, anti-corruption, ESG, or third-party risk management is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in uncertain conditions and quickly adapting to changes in regulatory landscapes and business priorities.
• Experience in drafting governance documentation, policy communications, executive briefings, or compliance reports is a plus.
• Self-motivated individual who takes responsibility for deliverables and proactively identifies gaps.
• Eager to learn and passionate about continuous improvement.
