This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the CFO/COO on tasks related to deal sourcing, qualification, initial rationale/pitch, financial modeling, due diligence, and closing activities.
• Provide assistance and support during M&A integration phases.
• Assess industry trends to pinpoint potential acquisition targets.
• Create industry landscapes and competitive analyses for board and executive-level reviews.
• Oversee diligence efforts between internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate diligence data and prepare presentations for board and executive levels.
• Manage the data room and distribute materials to relevant parties, serving as the primary contact for diligence inquiries.
• Develop financial models and forecasts for potential acquisition targets to guide valuation and budgetary requirements independently.
• Conduct low/base/high scenario analyses using limited information.
• Experiment with various business models and convert them into a comprehensive operating model.
• Handle inbound deal flows and facilitate outbound deal sourcing.
• Generate ideas, conduct research, negotiate, structure, and execute acquisitions.
• Recognize industry trends and cultivate relationships with startups, entrepreneurs, VCs, PE funds, bankers, and strategic partners.
• A minimum of 2 years in investment banking and over 3 years in corporate development and/or private equity experience.
• Proficient in developing financial and valuation models.
• Experience participating in M&A transactions of various sizes, including acqui-hires, asset-only purchases, and full company purchases and integrations.
• Proficient in Excel (capable of building and maintaining complex spreadsheets).
• Familiarity with Google Sheets.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Google Slides.
• Comfortable utilizing AI (Claude) to create automated workflows, memos, and financial models.
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written communication abilities.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in or with the gaming, entertainment, digital media, or internet services sectors.
• Ability to navigate organizations with a matrix company structure.
