This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the entire deal cycle, from initial prospect outreach to signing, closing, and integration.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of acquisition and investment targets through market mapping, direct outreach, referrals, advisors, and industry events.
• Engage with prospects both in-person and virtually, fostering trust with founders and management teams.
• Represent Voyfai by articulating its strategy, platform, and value proposition to potential targets and shareholders.
• Conduct preliminary strategic, commercial, and financial assessments, advising on the progression of opportunities.
• Create and manage financial models that encompass DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, accretion/dilution, IRR/return, synergies, and various scenarios.
• Oversee transaction workstreams, providing support for structuring and negotiation, managing data rooms, and adhering to process timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional and third-party due diligence across finance, legal, tax, product, technology, and commercial areas.
• Consolidate diligence findings into key value drivers and risk assessments.
• Draft investment memoranda, business cases, and presentations for Board and executive-level discussions.
• Collaborate directly with the Director of Corporate Development & M&A and Voyfai's executive team.
• Develop Voyfai's Corporate Development & M&A capabilities in the Americas, starting with the US and subsequently expanding to Canada and Latin America.
• Travel throughout North America up to 40–50% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• MBA is a plus, though not mandatory.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, growth equity, transaction advisory, or a similar deal environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience throughout the M&A lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, negotiation, and closing, with direct client or owner interaction.
• Capability to address in-person inquiries from business owners and advisors regarding deal structure, governance, and process independently.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and analysis.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with founders and executives.
• Self-motivated with an ownership-oriented mindset, adept at managing multiple workstreams and priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel across North America up to 40–50%.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
• Bonus: experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
• Bonus: experience in sourcing and maintaining a proprietary M&A pipeline.
• Bonus: proficiency in using AI-enabled tools for research, target screening, due diligence, and analysis.
