Corporate Counsel – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage legal affairs for designated Harris Healthcare business units

• Draft, examine, and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts for clients and suppliers

• Work on licensing, reseller, service, technology development, and non-disclosure agreements

• Lead the structuring, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing of corporate and commercial transactions based on experience

• Develop and maintain template agreements

• Collaborate with the Legal & Compliance Department and various cross-functional teams

• Identify business requirements and offer guidance to internal clients

• Represent Harris Healthcare business units in dealings with customers, vendors, and partners

• Engage with external counsel regarding negotiations and resolution of disputes

• Assist with designated legal matters

• Review and proactively identify legal trends and risks within the evolving regulatory landscape

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience from a reputable firm or organization

• Strong understanding of legal challenges related to technology contracts, software licensing agreements, and US healthcare regulations including HIPAA

• Knowledge of US healthcare legislation, including HIPAA, data privacy, and security

• Experience in reviewing and drafting technology/software licensing agreements

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Exceptional judgment

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to provide clear and concise legal advice and analysis both verbally and in writing

• Skill in managing various matters, issues, and projects concurrently

• Must possess a JD Degree

• Must be an active member in good standing of a State Bar

• Experience with international contracting, GDPR, UK, and other global privacy laws is an advantage

• Experience in international medical device regulation and/or contracting is a plus

• Familiarity with CCPA and other state privacy and breach notification laws is a bonus
