This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary legal resource for Acquisition.com on a daily basis, serving as a key support to the General Counsel.
• Draft, evaluate, and negotiate vendor contracts, master service agreements (MSAs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), statements of work (SOWs), sponsorship and partnership contracts, as well as event and venue agreements.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio of numerous open matters across various entities and business units, regularly adjusting priorities.
• Manage daily inquiries related to privacy, data protection, and information security, including consent practices and vendor data terms.
• Assist the General Counsel with investment documentation, due diligence, and litigation issues, which includes drafting, discovery processes, and coordination with outside counsel.
• Evaluate marketing, advertising, and sales materials to ensure compliance with FTC Act Section 5, focusing on testimonials, earnings claims, and necessary disclosures.
• Provide guidance to the sales team on compliance with outbound calling and texting regulations, including TCPA and state telemarketing laws.
• Enhance the compliance program in collaboration with marketing, sales, and technology teams.
• Supervise the paralegal and legal operations specialist, managing their workload, priorities, and professional development.
• Ensure quality in intake processes and maintain same-day acknowledgment standards with clear ownership and timelines.
• Continuously refine templates, playbooks, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Act as the primary legal contact for internal teams, highlighting risk and negotiation opportunities to procurement and business leaders.
• Review forms, policies, and processes related to people operations.
• Identify issues, take ownership, and drive them to resolution.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active bar membership in good standing.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in-house at a high-growth company, encompassing commercial contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and general business advisory.
• Practical experience with FTC Act Section 5 and advertising compliance.
• Strong preference for experience with GDPR, CCPA, and TCPA regulations.
• Proven track record in managing and improving legal operations, including intake workflows, contract lifecycle management, matter tracking, and legal technology.
• Experience leading paralegal or legal operations personnel.
• Preferred background in advisory, professional services, events, or technology sectors.
• Exposure to investment or fund operations is an advantage.
• Utilizes AI and automation effectively, while recognizing when human review is essential.
• Capable of clearly articulating legal concepts to non-lawyers and fostering trust across sales, operations, marketing, and vendor-facing teams.
• Remote position based in the USA.
• Occasional light travel to Las Vegas may be necessary.
