This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead and manage extensive collection activities via phone and email, ensuring prompt and precise documentation of customer interactions.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Controller, CFO, and local offices to develop and implement customer payment policies.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers while negotiating payment plans and addressing disputes.
• Work alongside sales, operations, and accounting departments to resolve billing issues and guarantee accurate payment processing.
• Oversee and manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to uphold 30-day payment terms.
• Suggest escalation procedures for overdue accounts, including the involvement of legal or external collection services when required.
• Generate and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports to facilitate internal communication and performance monitoring.
• Achieve or surpass monthly collection targets and KPIs established by leadership.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in collections management, ideally in multi-state organizations.
• Proficient in ERP systems like Sage or QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Aspire is highly desirable.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; strong reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal teams and external clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage competing deadlines.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a collaborative, hands-on mindset.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a background check.
