Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.

📋 Description

• Make outgoing and receive incoming calls to secure payments for both medical and non-medical accounts.

• Manage inbound and outbound calls promptly and professionally.

• Effectively execute collection activities.

• Employ negotiation and customer service skills to achieve favorable outcomes.

• Comply with all applicable laws, including FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPPA.

• Follow the assigned schedule, which may include evening, closing, and Saturday shifts as needed.

• Input and update information in company and/or client systems.

• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Collections, Call Center, or Customer Service roles that involved regular public interaction.

• Proficient in entering and updating data on company and/or client systems accurately and promptly.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Commitment to customer service and meeting deliverables.

• Flexibility in scheduling and assignments, including regular evening and Saturday shifts as necessary.

• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team-centered environment.

• Reliable broadband internet connection (No DSL or Dial-Up).

• A hard-wired connection is mandatory (no Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi hotspots).

• Minimum internet speed of 40 mbps download and 5 mbps upload.

• A camera is required to be on from the start of training until the end of each scheduled shift, except during designated breaks and lunch periods.

• After training, camera use is required as instructed by a supervisor or as per team expectations.

• Remote employees must reside in the United States and live in one of the following states: AZ, NV, ID, MT, OH, TX, OK, KS, LA, AR, MO, IL, IA, MN, WI, MI, IN, KY, TN, PA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC, MD, NM.
