Core Speech Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance internal tools for teams that are engaged in the development and support of AI-driven medical note generation and speech recognition applications.

• Collaborate closely with the NLP, NLU, and AI teams to generate training data and compile quality reports.

• Assist in the automation of deployment processes and the management of cloud resources.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for internal products to stakeholders.

• Contribute to speech recognition initiatives and work on enhancing recognition accuracy.

• Occasional travel, up to 10%, may be required for domestic or international purposes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher along with one year of relevant experience.

• A High School Diploma/GED combined with four years of related experience.

• Proficiency in data pipelines and processing methodologies.

• Experience in web development.

• Skilled in at least one programming language, with a preference for Kotlin or Python.

• Familiarity with generating data reports and analyzing extensive, complex datasets.

• Experience with a cloud computing platform, such as AWS.

• Knowledge of speech recognition and the AI processing of dictation and conversational audio (additional qualification).

• A background in linguistics, especially phonetics, or in medical transcription (additional qualification).

• Proficient in Kotlin, Python, Golang, Typescript, Django, Angular, Ktor, Node, Terraform, and regex (additional qualification).

• Strong communication skills and comfort in presenting to groups (additional qualification).

• Candidates must be residing in Ireland.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
