This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the redesign and ongoing enhancement of Developmental Education Pedagogy courses
• Ensure alignment of DEP coursework with semester-level content, rigor, learning outcomes, pedagogical standards, and licensure requirements
• Integrate evidence-based instructional methods and appropriate learner support structures
• Evaluate course materials, assignments, assessments, and instructional resources based on candidate performance data
• Partner with institutional leaders and UTC faculty to assess candidate performance and developmental needs
• Map licensure competencies and assessment expectations across DEP coursework
• Prepare candidates for necessary licensure assessments and design targeted interventions for those not demonstrating readiness
• Establish benchmarks and systems to track candidate progress towards licensure exam preparedness
• Offer instructional leadership, coaching, supervision, observations, and feedback to DEP Professors of Practice
• Facilitate professional development on developmental education pedagogy, candidate intervention, data-informed instruction, and licensure preparation
• Create systems to identify candidates in need of academic or licensure assistance and coordinate targeted interventions
• Develop and oversee key performance indicators for DEP programs
• Analyze candidate outcome data and suggest curricular, instructional, staffing, or intervention modifications
• Provide regular updates to academic leadership
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Dean or Director of Academic Operations
• Master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, teacher education, literacy, educational leadership, or a related discipline
• Background in teaching, curriculum development, instructional coaching, or educator preparation
• Proven understanding of effective instructional techniques for supporting developing learners
• Experience utilizing student or candidate performance data to guide instructional choices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and project-management abilities
• Experience in higher education or educator preparation (preferred)
• Background in supervising, coaching, or developing faculty (preferred)
• Familiarity with licensure assessments and educator licensure criteria (preferred)
• Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating targeted interventions or academic supports for candidates preparing for high-stakes assessments (preferred)
• Experience in analyzing assessment or licensure data to inform curriculum, instruction, and ongoing improvement (preferred)
