Controller/Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Analyze accounting and finance scenarios while evaluating the accuracy, completeness, and professional relevance of AI-generated responses.

• Review financial reporting, audit, tax, treasury, and technical accounting content to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

• Offer expert feedback to enhance the quality, consistency, and reliability of outputs produced by AI.

• Develop realistic accounting and finance case studies rooted in actual business scenarios.

• Craft clear explanations of accounting principles, technical accounting guidance, and their practical applications.

• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and gaps in AI-generated analyses, providing recommendations for improvements.

• Assess AI reasoning and decision-making within accounting and financial settings.

• Collaborate with project teams to refine evaluation standards and quality guidelines.

• Independently manage priorities while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.

• Test and review outputs produced by AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience in one or more areas such as Public Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Audit, Tax, Advisory Services, Financial Reporting, FP&A, or Finance Operations.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and controllership functions.

• Familiarity with technical accounting topics, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.

• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.

• Exposure to treasury functions and month-end close processes.

• Exceptional written communication and analytical skills.

• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote setting.

• Basic understanding of AI, including tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or other LLM technologies.

• Availability for 30-40 hours per week during the engagement period.
