This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the finance and accounting functions from start to finish, encompassing accounting operations, financial closing, reconciliations, reporting, cash management, and internal controls.

• Generate financial statements and lead audit procedures, ensuring precision, compliance with GAAP, and readiness for external evaluations.

• Oversee accounting staff and uphold trustworthy finance processes and documentation.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, tax coordination, commissions, and management reporting.

• Act as the administrative liaison with the company's PEO for payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and regular compliance issues.

• Organize employee documentation and facilitate approved HR policies and procedures.

• Elevate significant financial, employee relations, legal, and compliance concerns to the COO.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with stakeholders, founders, and the broader Pine ecosystem.

• Function as a pivotal member of the leadership team, offering management financial and HR-related insights and recommendations.

• Report directly to the COO.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting.

• In-depth understanding of financial statement preparation.

• Experience with multi-entity consolidation.

• Strong grasp of GAAP compliance.

• Capability to identify and rectify data anomalies in financial reports.

• Background in leading or assisting with financial audits.

• Familiarity with meeting tax obligations.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Comfortable transitioning between strategic and tactical tasks.
