This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the entire accounting function as the senior accounting leader of the Company.
• Supervise the monthly close process within five business days across five entities, which includes reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, conducting fluctuation analysis, and providing monthly reporting support.
• Manage the consolidation for multiple entities, intercompany accounting, eliminations, and the translation of foreign currencies.
• Coordinate and oversee the audits for consolidated US GAAP and the 401(k) plan.
• Supervise accounts payable and lead customer billing, handling approximately 400 invoices monthly across three product lines.
• Maintain the internal control environment, ensuring proper segregation of duties within accounting and payroll processes.
• Act as the technical accounting lead for ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 350-40 internal-use software capitalization.
• Maintain the local-currency books for the foreign subsidiary and assist with local tax filings and the review of foreign payroll.
• Process payroll for the US across multiple states, reviewing payroll registers and change reports.
• Contribute to budgeting, trend analysis, management-results meetings, data standardization, and governance efforts.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; prepare US federal and multi-state income tax packages and coordinate estimated payments.
• Oversee sales and non-income tax compliance, including integrating Avalara with NetSuite.
• Support reporting requirements for private-equity sponsors and lenders.
• Lead and develop a team of four in accounting and billing, establishing documented cross-coverage.
• Manage NetSuite configuration, process design, automation, accounting policies, procedures, as well as audit and diligence readiness.
• Report directly to the SVP of Finance and engage with executives, business leaders, auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and the private equity sponsor.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP in a software context, with the capability to research, document, and substantiate technical positions with external auditors.
• Practical experience with ERP systems and advanced skills in Excel.
• Familiarity with multi-entity consolidation and managing a foreign subsidiary, including foreign currency translation.
• Proven leadership experience managing a small team in a hands-on accounting and transactional environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset that provides actionable insights.
• Ability to thrive in a lean, private equity-backed setting with a defined reporting schedule and direct interaction with sponsors, lenders, and auditors.
• Demonstrated capability to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least ten years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of three years overseeing the monthly close process from start to finish.
• Active CPA certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Avalara, Paylocity, Ramp, or similar accounts payable automation tools (preferred but not mandatory).
• Background in public accounting audit (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience in the software or SaaS industry (preferred but not mandatory).
• Knowledge of healthcare technology (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience working in a private equity-backed organization (preferred but not mandatory).
• Previous involvement in transaction processes, including due diligence, quality of earnings, or purchase accounting (preferred but not mandatory).
