This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee accounting operations and lead the team.

• Ensure a swift and dependable month-end closing process — enhancing it further with AI.

• Update accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense workflows.

• Provide financial reporting and insights.

• Manage revenue recognition and technical accounting responsibilities.

• Prepare for audit readiness.

• Supervise payroll, tax, treasury, and compliance matters.

• Collaborate with various areas of the business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or technology setting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA is highly preferred (MBA is an advantage).

• Extensive understanding of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), financial reporting, auditing, and compliance.

• Proven experience in owning or leading a complete audit process.

• A history of leveraging AI, automation, and contemporary accounting tools to enhance efficiency — for example, automating closing tasks, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, or expense procedures.

• Experience in selecting, implementing, and managing accounting systems and their integrations.

• Strong leadership skills: you have built, coached, or mentored accountants and set high standards.

• Exceptional communication and analytical abilities, with the skill to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

• A proactive, self-directed individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and pays attention to details.
