Controller, Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Analyze accounting and finance scenarios and assess the accuracy, completeness, and professional relevance of AI-generated responses.

• Evaluate financial reporting, audit, tax, treasury, and technical accounting content to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.

• Offer expert insights aimed at enhancing the quality, consistency, and reliability of outputs generated by AI.

• Craft realistic case studies in accounting and finance that reflect actual business scenarios.

• Develop clear explanations of accounting principles, technical accounting guidelines, and their practical applications.

• Detect errors, inconsistencies, and deficiencies in AI-generated analyses and suggest improvements.

• Assess AI reasoning and decision-making processes within accounting and financial frameworks.

• Collaborate with project teams to refine evaluation standards and quality benchmarks.

• Independently manage priorities while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.

• Test and evaluate outputs produced by AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong comprehension of financial reporting and controllership functions.

• Experience in technical accounting topics, such as revenue recognition and lease accounting.

• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance with SOX.

• Familiarity with treasury functions and month-end closing processes.

• Exceptional written communication and analytical abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.

• Basic understanding of AI, ChatGPT, Copilot, or other LLM tools.

• Availability to commit 30-40 hours per week throughout the duration of the engagement.
