This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist in contract negotiation and lifecycle management in accordance with established policies, templates, and approval processes.
• Aid in the evaluation, negotiation, and processing of contracts and agreements utilizing approved templates, clause libraries, and negotiation strategies.
• Assess contract terms to pinpoint issues, deviations, risks, and necessary approvals.
• Compose, revise, and oversee contract language and redlines within specified negotiation boundaries.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect information, clarify requirements, and ensure contract alignment.
• Organize contract workflows, approvals, execution steps, and document routing.
• Track contract milestones, timelines, and obligations, providing regular status updates.
• Support contract assessments and quality checks by adhering to established standards and escalation protocols.
• Keep precise and organized contract records, repositories, and tracking systems.
• Prepare summaries, reports, and materials relevant to contract activities.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with management, team members, and other departments; may represent the department both internally and externally.
• Minimum of 3 years in a relevant position or equivalent experience.
• A suitable combination of training, education, and experience may be taken into account.
• Capability to exercise professional judgment and structured problem-solving within established policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting contract language based on defined guidelines.
• Competence in preparing clear and precise written materials and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple contract workflows and adhere to defined timelines.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with contract negotiation, contract lifecycle management, or commercial contracting processes.
• Experience in supporting legal, commercial, procurement, or contract operations activities.
• Exposure to contract management systems, workflow tools, or document repositories.
• Preferred: Relevant professional certifications related to contracts or commercial operations.
• Preferred: A university degree.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods and frequently use a computer and standard office equipment.
• Effective communication skills both in-person and through digital platforms.
• Capability to handle light materials, typically weighing under 10 pounds.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
• Flexibility to meet deadlines or collaborate across different time zones.
• Travel may be necessary based on business requirements.
