Contracts Manager – Government Contracts, DOD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of contract administration and proposal formulation for aerospace and defense initiatives.

• Provide strategic guidance, process oversight, and leadership to ensure contract compliance.

• Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs, terms and conditions, subcontract letters, UCAs, teaming agreements, IP agreements, and formal proposal submissions.

• Direct pre-award and post-award contracting processes for U.S. government contracts.

• Serve as the primary contract authority for designated programs and offer contracting advice to program leadership, finance, procurement, and legal teams.

• Assist in capture and proposal activities, including compliance matrices, cost estimating, pricing inputs, contract strategy formulation, risk assessment, and terms evaluation.

• Lead responses to contract inquiries, audits, investigations, disputes, and claims.

• Counsel staff on contract obligations, change management, and compliance matters.

• Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and clients.

• Enhance contracting processes, templates, and playbooks.

• Align contract and proposal specifications across engineering, finance, quality, legal, and program management disciplines.

• Ensure contracts and proposals are documented in databases and securely stored.

• Report to the Senior Manager, Contracts for Molex’s Aerospace & Defense Solutions division.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Over 5 years of experience in U.S. Government contracting (FAR/DFARS).

• Demonstrated experience in negotiating terms, developing complex proposals, and drafting contracts for U.S. Government projects.

• Ability to comprehend technical product details and their significance to contract specifications.

• Capable of working independently and taking initiative with minimal oversight.

• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status, or eligibility to obtain export authorization under ITAR and/or EAR.

• Preferred: advanced degrees or certifications such as CFCM, CPCM, CCCM, or CCMA.

• Preferred: experience within the aerospace and defense sector.

• Preferred: familiarity with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and export compliance regulations.

• Preferred: experience with TINA proposals, termination settlement proposals, subcontract management, Commercial Item Determination packages, and Small Business Subcontracting Plans.
