This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.
• Create provider and vendor contracts utilizing templates sanctioned by the General Counsel or Senior Associate General Counsel.
• Draft and negotiate agreements for providers and vendors, including scopes of work, amendments, and memoranda of understanding with external entities.
• Supervise or assist in the distribution and tracking of provider contracts, out-of-network agreements, administrative contracts, leases, and additional written agreements.
• Draft, revise, and uphold business procedures and job aids.
• Engage with both internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of contracts.
• Verify, amend, and refresh contract details in the electronic contract lifecycle management system.
• Organize, store, and archive contracts efficiently.
• Generate reports for executive leadership and senior management concerning contract status, content, and other requested information.
• Aid in maintaining vendor and provider data integrity within the contract lifecycle management and vendor relationship management platforms.
• Coordinate user setup and deliver training and support for contract requests, reporting, and contract retrieval.
• Assist Legal and Provider Network Operations personnel with negotiations related to contract terms.
• Educate staff on drafting, processing, and overseeing contracts.
• Support procurement requests, including proposals, information requests, and assistance requests.
• Supervise, train, and provide feedback to the designated Contracts Specialist.
• Complete special projects involving provider network and vendor management, procurement, data integrity, claims processing, and provider communications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Must reside in NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, or FL.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or a related field with four years of relevant work experience; OR a Master’s Degree in business administration or a related field with two years of relevant work experience; OR a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
• All degrees should be from accredited institutions.
• Experience with or capacity to quickly master client relationship management/vendor lifecycle management software.
• Understanding of contracting principles, policies, and procedures.
• Familiarity with business practices pertinent to the healthcare sector.
• Strong analytical skills and proven good judgment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a comprehensive grasp of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Outstanding time management, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Capability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio.
• Proficiency in formatting and manipulating documents in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to schedule meetings and tasks using Outlook and manage virtual Teams meetings.
• In-depth knowledge of standard office equipment.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply complex policies and procedures.
• Preferred: experience with contracts in the healthcare industry, insurance companies, or legal firms.
• Familiarity with DocuSign, SharePoint, and Icertis vendor management software is a bonus.
• Remote, home-based virtual position.
• Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm EST work schedule.
• Exempt position not eligible for overtime pay.
