This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Act as the contracts leader for the Northeast Division.
• Provide direction, oversight, and coordinated contract service delivery throughout the Division.
• Directly oversee complex agreements while offering contract management, compliance, and stakeholder support for designated Business Units and Division priorities.
• Offer guidance on agreement structures, contracting strategies, compliance requirements, and organizational policies.
• Foster consistent practices, align priorities and workloads, enhance staff capabilities, and spearhead process improvements.
• Create, review, execute, monitor, and finalize agreements in alignment with organizational policies, Delegation of Authority requirements, and risk management protocols.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and main point of escalation for intricate contracting issues.
• Assess contractual, financial, compliance, operational, and reputational risks and propose strategies for mitigation.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Grants, Operations, program staff, and other stakeholders to address contract-related challenges.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop contracts personnel.
• Lead the development and execution of processes, tools, training, service standards, and resources.
• Utilize independent judgment to resolve complex contract issues, prioritize demands, allocate resources, and suggest solutions.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 4 years of relevant experience or a comparable combination.
• Familiarity with government regulations pertaining to grants and contracts.
• TNC Certified Contract Specialist (CCS) certification or the capacity to obtain certification within specified timeframes.
• Proven experience in managing contracts, agreements, procurement activities, grants, or related business operations.
• Experience in coordinating multiple agreements and handling competing priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying organizational policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and approval processes.
• Experience with contract management systems, document management systems, financial systems, or similar technology platforms.
• Background in supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
• Experience managing intricate contracts, subawards, procurement agreements, professional services agreements, or other organizational contracts.
• Experience supporting contracts funded by governmental, foundation, corporate, or other institutional sources.
• Understanding of contract lifecycle management, procurement practices, internal controls, compliance monitoring, and risk management.
• Experience in designing or enhancing contracting processes, tools, templates, training, and service standards.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with Legal, Finance, Grants, Operations, and program teams within a complex or decentralized organization.
• Strong analytical, judgment, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including the skill to convey complex requirements clearly to diverse audiences.
• Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience are valued.
