This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Lead a team focused on contracts and manage high-complexity, strategic agreements and proposals within the AFSI BG.
• Act as a client-facing manager, fostering trusted relationships with customers and serving as the primary point of contact for contracts and projects.
• Provide guidance to the team on contractual, legal, and intricate issues.
• Handle multiple projects and tasks within a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
• Influence, negotiate, and effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior executive leadership.
• Address complex issues, create negotiation strategies, and propose innovative solutions.
• Facilitate travel to SAIC and customer sites as needed.
• Report to the AFSI BG Business Management Contracts and Procurement Lead and escalate issues when necessary.
• Prepare and present strategic, sensitive oral and written communications to executive management, Federal Government officials, and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and support team members across various contracts disciplines.
• Review contractual documents and proposals to ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and master agreements.
• Lead discussions and negotiations with customers in complex and classified contract environments.
• Advise internal customers and management on contractual rights, obligations, terms, and conditions.
• Ensure adherence to government contract requirements, internal policies, and relevant Federal, State, and agency regulations.
• Collaborate with legal, functional counterparts, and senior leadership throughout the organization.
• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, with fifteen (15) years or more of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with thirteen (13) years or more of relevant experience.
• An additional 4+ years of experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Proven experience leading an integrated contracts team, managing daily operations, and facilitating training and development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations and initiate major contract acquisitions.
• Familiarity with contracting for emerging technologies, such as AI, cloud, and as-a-service models.
• Experience with Software-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service models.
• Experience navigating risk management, rapid innovation cycles, and changing standards related to emerging technologies.
• Skill in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, and compliance risks during contract execution.
• Expertise in CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FPI, and significant experience executing FFP contracts.
• Experience with FAR Part 12, 15, and 16 acquisitions.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, applicable agency supplements, and Public Laws.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage independently and effectively with senior management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, DFARS, TINA, and CAS.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Some travel will be required.
