This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Oversee all aspects of contract management from initiation to completion, including proposal development, negotiation, administration, and closure.
• Engage with clients to manage contracts, modifications, billing, and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Utilize business insight and specialized knowledge to grasp program performance expectations and support both programmatic and financial goals.
• Collaborate with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in program gate reviews, management reviews, business strategy discussions, proposal evaluations, and risk management processes.
• Create innovative solutions and address contractual issues in partnership with team members from various functions.
• Oversee contractual scope, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with the contract specifications.
• Review RFPs, draft and assess proposals, manage negotiations, implement contracts, and oversee contract administration.
• Investigate and resolve intricate contractual issues while proactively engaging with stakeholders.
• Offer strategic guidance on contractual rights, responsibilities, regulations, and policies to minimize risks and prevent unauthorized changes.
• Juggle both routine and complex contract and proposal tasks while addressing urgent needs.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Must possess or be able to acquire a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance; an active security clearance is required from day one.
• U.S. citizenship is necessary for security clearance eligibility.
• Familiarity with U.S. Government fixed-price and cost-type contracts governed by FAR and DFARS.
• Proven experience as a Contracts Lead or in leading contract negotiations with clients.
• Knowledge of the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) process.
• Preferred experience in administering and negotiating complex proposals and contracts.
• Preferred experience interfacing with DCAA and DCMA during proposal evaluations, audits, and fact-finding missions.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders are preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and build strong customer relationships is preferred.
• Minimal travel within the U.S. is expected.
