Contracts Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage assigned prime contracts, subcontracts, task orders, and associated agreements from the award stage through to closeout.

• Analyze contract terms, statements of work, modifications, and relevant FAR, DFARS, agency, prime-contractor, and customer requirements.

• Convert contractual obligations into actionable guidance for program teams.

• Maintain comprehensive and auditable contract files, obligation matrices, deliverable schedules, correspondence logs, and transaction records.

• Oversee the review, negotiation, coordination, and execution of modifications, requests for equitable adjustment, change proposals, funding actions, and other contract transactions.

• Identify and manage contractual flow-down requirements while ensuring compliance.

• Act as an authorized business liaison with Government contracting officers, prime-contractor representatives, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

• Assist with solicitations, proposals, pricing, basis-of-estimate development, negotiations, and fact-finding activities.

• Aid in subcontract transitions for new program awards, including supplier onboarding, purchasing, staffing, data and inventory transfer, and Day-1 readiness.

• Monitor contract performance, funding, deliverables, options, periods of performance, data rights, Government property, security, quality, and other obligations.

• Identify risks and initiate timely actions.

• Provide guidance to program leadership on contractual risks and scope limitations.

• Lead complex assignments, mentor contract personnel, and enhance contract-management practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• 6–12 years of progressively responsible experience in Government contracting.

• Background in supporting defense, aerospace, training, simulation, sustainment, or other complex technical services.

• Government contracting experience may substitute for formal educational requirements.

• Proven experience in independently managing complex prime contracts or subcontracts.

• Familiarity with modifications, negotiations, contract document creation, proposal support, price analysis, and cross-functional risk resolution.

• Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

• Professional certifications such as CFCM, CPCM, FAC-C, or comparable Government contracting credentials are preferred.

• Experience in supporting military airframe training system programs is preferred.

• Background in both Government prime contractor and subcontractor business models is preferred.

• Knowledge of cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, time-and-material, and indefinite-delivery contract types.

• Understanding of data rights, Government property, and international contracting considerations.

• Availability during Eastern Time is required.

• Active Secret Personnel Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

• Must uphold relevant installation, system, and information access eligibility.

• Expected to work 80 hours per payroll period.

• Willingness to travel approximately 20%, including both domestic and international travel.
