Contracts and Pricing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Supply and Marketing teams to prepare contracts and establish customer setups that enable the Commercial division to sell products at optimal netbacks.

• Oversee customer setup processes in conjunction with credit, tax, and accounting departments, ensuring completion while keeping stakeholders informed of updates.

• Verify that Company contracts and pricing details are precise, comprehensive, and delivered in a timely manner.

• Work alongside scheduling, billing, and accounting teams to guarantee prompt and accurate invoicing.

• Recognize potential issues and proactively take steps to prevent sales disruptions, ensuring a positive customer experience.

• Independently analyze customer concerns and suggest as well as implement timely solutions based on knowledge of contract and pricing policies and procedures.

• Prepare back-office configurations to ensure customer supply in response to market opportunities or refinery challenges.

• Gain proficiency in SAP modules and external terminal and pricing software, including Deal Capture, DTN TABS, Atlas, and Customer Portal.

• Assist with marketing reports regarding upcoming contract expiration dates to facilitate contract renegotiation.

• Develop and document policies and procedures while identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy, communication, and timeliness.

• Foster positive working relationships with both internal colleagues and external customers.

• Provide backup support, training, and guidance to other contracts and pricing personnel.

• Carry out additional assignments as directed by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of eight years of related work experience is required.

• A High School diploma or equivalent is necessary.

• Four years of experience in the petroleum industry is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field is preferred.

• Proficiency in applying advanced clerical and data entry skills to assignments following pre-established guidelines.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, including MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.

• Strong understanding of contract mechanics and pricing.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Basic knowledge of computer usage.

• Intermediate reading and writing abilities.

• Capability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.

• Familiarity with trade locations and SAP navigation.

• Advanced ability to implement new systems and procedures and assess their effectiveness.

• Responsible for leading or supervising the work of others.
