Contractor Relations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate contractor capabilities and performance to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement.

• Recruit and onboard contractors based on the assessments conducted.

• Act as the primary point of contact for communication and escalation for contractors.

• Create and maintain the contractor performance grading system.

• Review audits to ensure adherence to HD Supply standards.

• Educate contractors on quality standards and procedural guidelines.

• Facilitate communication between contractors and the sales team.

• Address contractor inquiries related to project specifications, regulatory compliance, and customer expectations.

• Utilize QuickBase to evaluate programming needs and guarantee precise data entry.

• Engage in strategic discussions regarding potential integration with organizational platforms and systems.

• Authorize contractors’ licenses in QuickBase for permitted services.

• Assess scopes of work for compliance with licensing regulations.

• Provide backup licensing expertise during project success calls.

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues.

• Plan, assign, monitor, and review the progress of projects or assignments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in contractor management.

• Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations pertinent to contracting and service provision.

• Must obtain state contractor certifications for use within the organization.

• Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline and generally 5–8 years of experience in a relevant field, OR an MS/MA with generally 3–5 years of experience in a related field.

• Certification may be required in some areas.

• Must reside in one of the specified states: Georgia, New York, Texas, California, or Florida.

• Willingness to travel overnight 20% to 50% of the time.
