
Contracting Specialist Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Provide guidance and operational management for the Provider Contracting Department.
• Supervise, mentor, and lead a small team of Contracting Specialists.
• Assess non-standard terms, suggested modifications, business priorities, and contractual risks.
• Act as the primary resource and initial point of escalation for intricate or non-standard contracting issues.
• Draft, review, modify, and facilitate negotiations of complex or significant contract terms.
• Ensure accurate clinical provider information is maintained within CONGA.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, leadership, and other stakeholders to address contractual challenges.
• Create contracts, amendments, and letter agreements for new clinical hires, current employees, and independent contractors.
• Monitor departmental workload, contract status, performance trends, and pertinent metrics.
• Develop and uphold standard contract language, templates, playbooks, procedures, documentation standards, guidance materials, and escalation protocols.
• Represent the Contracting Department in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.
• Oversee workflows, recurring issues, and resource limitations; implement process enhancements.
• Identify and escalate issues that pose legal, financial, compliance, operational, or business risks.
• Set team priorities, distribute and balance workloads, and track deadlines, deliverables, and resource availability.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Paralegal Certification.
• Extensive relevant experience in contract administration, contract management, paralegal work, legal operations, or a related contracting role.
• Proven experience in independently drafting, reviewing, and revising contractual language.
• Demonstrated capability to analyze complex or non-standard contractual issues and recognize when escalation is necessary.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong judgment, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the capacity to manage multiple matters, competing priorities, and deadlines.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with leadership and stakeholders across various organizational functions.
• Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• High level of proficiency with CONGA and MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Experience with WORKDAY is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business environment, with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Previous experience in contract preparation is preferred.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
