Contract Specialist – FSP Dedicated

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Prepare and negotiate contracts, as well as complete the contract finalization process.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements with study sites in compliance with local and accepted processes.

• Conduct negotiations within approved parameters, including investigator grant budget negotiation criteria, contractual terms and conditions, company requirements, client expectations, and established procedures with sites while adhering to established escalation routes.

• Ensure adherence to established negotiation parameters, authority approvals, contractual processes, and client expectations.

• Maintain compliance with budgetary guidelines, templates, and processes.

• Identify and evaluate legal, financial, and operational risks, escalating them to the appropriate organizational level per established protocols.

• Offer recommendations and alternative solutions for Investigator Contract negotiations through established escalation channels.

• Collaborate with internal functional departments to ensure that various site startup activities align with contractual obligations and mutually agreed timelines, achieving target cycle times for site activations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.

• Prior experience that equips the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job (typically 2-5 years) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• A solid understanding of contract law principles, including familiarity with laws that affect contract language, such as business, intellectual property, and local tax and stamp regulations.

• Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental principles of investigator grant negotiation.

• Strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) in English and the language spoken at the local workplace.

• Capable of drafting and negotiating contract provisions and budgetary issues within set parameters, with appropriate oversight.

• High attention to detail.

• Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.

• Understanding of the pharmaceutical product development process and the role of CROs.

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficient in organizing competing priorities logically and reviewing outstanding contractual risks and issues.

• Competent in utilizing automated systems and computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills and effective teamwork.
