This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and oversee state agreements, which include MSAs, SOWs, amendments, change orders, NDAs, teaming agreements, software/SaaS/technology agreements, as well as vendor and subcontractor agreements, and agreements related to healthcare services.
• Lead negotiations for contracts with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and business collaborators.
• Assess contractual risks and offer management recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Interpret contract clauses and provide guidance to internal legal and contracts teams regarding rights, responsibilities, and compliance obligations.
• Collaborate with contract managers, attorneys, and business leaders located in the U.S. to address legal, commercial, operational, and compliance challenges.
• Assist in bidding and procurement initiatives, including reviewing proposals and contracts for RFPs and government healthcare opportunities.
• Ensure that contracts adhere to corporate policies, relevant laws, healthcare regulations, privacy requirements, and contracting standards.
• Keep precise records of contracts and manage them through contract lifecycle management systems.
• Monitor contractual commitments, deliverables, renewals, notifications, and expiration dates.
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders regarding contract procedures and risk management.
• Cultivate relationships with both internal and external business partners while acting as a trusted advisor.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a law degree from a recognized university in India is preferred.
• 12-15 years of experience in contracts management, legal operations, or related sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. contract law, regulatory compliance, and principles of risk management.
• Capability to independently assess, negotiate, and manage complex agreements while influencing stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and summarizing contracts and associated risks with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with U.S.-based executives and legal professionals.
• Strong aptitude for identifying, interpreting, and summarizing contractual terms and articulating legal and business implications to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience in managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and contract lifecycle management tools.
• Experience in supporting U.S. healthcare, healthcare technology, managed care, health plans, or Medicaid-related contracts.
• Familiarity with healthcare privacy, data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in supporting U.S. state government contracts, healthcare procurements, or large-scale outsourcing agreements.
• Experience working in a multinational or global organization that supports U.S.-based operations.
