Contract Clinical Licensing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Facilitate cross-licensing for existing and newly hired therapists in various states.

• Initiate and manage applications for cross-licensing of therapists.

• Keep informed about state licensure requirements and timelines.

• Reach out to state licensing boards for updates on provider licensure statuses.

• Provide licensing workflow instructions to therapists and monitor action items.

• Ensure provider data is current in credentialing databases and CAQH.

• Follow up with providers to guarantee the timely submission of necessary documents.

• Submit licensing applications along with supporting materials to state agencies.

• Follow up with state agencies regarding licensure status and respond to ad hoc inquiries.

• Clarify licensure qualifications and documentation questions with boards, updating state licensing workflows accordingly.

• Maintain provider records, compile relevant information, track CEUs, and submit forms to uphold provider licensing across the U.S.

• Monitor licensing documents and their respective timelines.

• Collaborate with other departments to prioritize licensure according to staffing requirements.

• Ensure confidentiality of provider information is maintained.

• Work with recruitment and network operations to guarantee timely and accurate provider credentialing.

• Address inquiries from providers and internal departments regarding licensure status.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health clinician licensing is preferred.

• Familiarity with state-specific credentialing and recredentialing requirements is preferred.

• Experience in obtaining licensure for providers across multiple states is preferred.

• Proven abilities in problem-solving, analysis, and resolution.

• Knowledge of credentialing standards, regulations, and NCQA accreditation is preferred.

• Strong communication skills with the capability to build and maintain relationships with providers and internal stakeholders.

• Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

• Skill in prioritizing workload effectively to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
