This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee, create, and implement client/sponsor contracts and change orders for both new and ongoing projects, focusing mainly on change orders linked to early phase studies.
• Manage multiple Early Phase contracts and/or change orders concurrently.
• Collaborate with ICON Legal, the Sales Team, and Contracts Managers to establish suitable contract terms and conditions.
• Gain familiarity with ICON's costing tools, client budget grids, and relevant tools and templates.
• Comprehend the tasks, roles, and cost drivers of operational departments within ICON.
• Gather feedback and review contracts and change orders with appropriate operational departments.
• Create cash-neutral payment schedules as necessary.
• Recognize when client inquiries or comments necessitate review by Legal, operations, senior management, or the client.
• Provide project and financial analysis on project budgets to support information prior to client submission.
• Update Salesforce with clear, precise contract or change-order status information.
• Establish and maintain client/project files and tracking tools.
• Review client/project documents and budgets before final quality-control submission.
• Cultivate relationships with ICON project teams, sales, proposals, finance, project analysis, and clients.
• Lead or support internal meetings concerning contracts and change orders.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sponsor contract management and financial analysis within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
• Experience with Early Phase study budgets is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate financial and contractual ramifications.
• Knowledge of contract fundamentals, legal terminology, and commercial agreement structures.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities, with the capacity to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with project budgeting, pricing models, and change order management is preferred.
• Experience in negotiating commercial or contractual terms with clients is preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
