Continuous Improvement Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Analyze work orders, asset data, preventive maintenance (PM), vendor information, service level agreements (SLA), financial metrics, and operational data to uncover trends, risks, outliers, and potential areas for improvement.

• Create dashboards, scorecards, summaries, and visual narratives that simplify complex data into actionable insights.

• Present analytical findings to operations teams, account managers, leadership, and client stakeholders.

• Assist in Lean and continuous improvement efforts by identifying process deficiencies, workflow inefficiencies, recurring issues, and opportunities for standardization.

• Formulate improvement plans, monitor progress, validate results, and communicate outcomes effectively.

• Transform lessons learned into repeatable processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.

• Assess asset performance, the effectiveness of PM, trends in reactive work, recurring failures, emergency work volume, and underperforming assets.

• Contribute to PM reviews, failure trend analysis, maintenance optimization, and recommendations for repair versus replacement.

• Employ foundational reliability principles to enhance asset performance and inform maintenance decision-making.

• Collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, account leadership, vendors, finance, procurement, technology, and client stakeholders.

• Assist in KPI reporting, operational scorecards, business review documents, and account-level performance summaries.

• Undertake special projects, account initiatives, data validation, and other tasks as directed by Operations and Continuous Improvement & Reliability (CI&R) leadership.

• Occasionally visit commercial properties, maintenance sites, construction zones, mechanical spaces, and customer locations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience.

• 3–8 years of experience in continuous improvement, operational analytics, facilities management, maintenance operations, reliability, manufacturing, engineering support, business intelligence, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in analyzing operational or maintenance-related data and translating findings into actionable recommendations.

• Proven experience in supporting process improvement, KPI reporting, dashboard creation, or performance management activities.

• Preferred experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); familiarity with Corrigo, Maximo, FEXA, or similar systems is desirable.

• Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication in English is essential.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning, Power Query, and trend analysis are necessary.

• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is required or highly preferred.

• Ability to create dashboards, scorecards, charts, and business summaries that effectively convey data-driven narratives.

• Familiarity with CMMS, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Power Platform tools is preferred.

• Proficiency in interpreting operational data, identifying patterns, and delivering actionable insights.

• Capability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data, spelling, grammar, and proofreading is essential.

• Willingness to travel for business approximately 10%–25% depending on project assignments and account support requirements.

• Must adhere to safety regulations, customer site requirements, OSHA guidelines, and company policies; personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required at operational sites.
