Content Lawyer – Corporate and Private M&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Compose, review, and revise practice notes, checklists, flowcharts, precedents, and other materials related to the practice.

• Ensure that all product materials are kept up-to-date and pertinent.

• Keep track of trends and legal advancements within the practice area.

• Assess the competitiveness of the product offerings.

• Recruit and maintain relationships with legal professionals and firms across Canada.

• Suggest overall content strategy and direction.

• Work alongside a cross-functional team on content and product development strategies.

• Produce high-quality content within established timelines.

• Assist sales and marketing efforts through product demonstrations, training, and other initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• J.D./LL.B. and active membership in one or more bars of any Canadian province or territory, in good standing.

• Over 3 years of experience in Capital Markets, Securities, and Public M&A law.

• In-depth knowledge of Capital Markets, Securities, and Public M&A law and workflows.

• Strong professional connections within the Capital Markets, Securities, and/or Public M&A legal community.

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to convey information clearly and succinctly.

• Experience in drafting or editing client materials, law journals, CLE presentations, or other legal content.

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office products.

• Highly organized, self-driven, and attentive to detail.

• Experience utilizing AI and LLM tools in a professional setting, including validating and enhancing outputs.

• Fluency in French is considered an asset.
