This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly meetings with Behavioral Health Clinician(s) to methodically evaluate a registry of patients, focusing on new, clinically complex, or non-improving cases.

• Provide guidance to survivorship medical providers on evidence-based treatment approaches, including medication management when clinically necessary.

• Offer timely consultations for complex or urgent patient situations as needed.

• Educate behavioral health clinicians, NPs, and MDs on psychiatric issues frequently encountered in cancer survivorship.

• Record consultation recommendations in OncoveryCare's registry/EMR in accordance with CoCM documentation guidelines.

• Collaborate with clinical leadership and the care team, familiarize yourself with registry and documentation tools, and commence structured case reviews.

• Contribute to the development of CoCM protocols and establish psychiatric consultation practices as the organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board certification in Psychiatry (MD or DO).

• An active, unrestricted medical license.

• At least 3 years of post-residency clinical experience.

• Experience in, or a strong interest in, psycho-oncology, consultation-liaison psychiatry, or integrated/collaborative care models.

• Expertise in the evidence-based treatment of prevalent psychiatric conditions, including managing complex comorbid medical conditions and treatment interactions relevant to oncology (e.g., chemotherapy, endocrine therapy).

• Familiarity with measurement-based care tools (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5).

• Comfort in a consultative role—advising treating providers through registry review rather than direct patient interactions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex clinical information into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Availability for a part-time weekly commitment, with the flexibility to adjust as our patient panel expands.

• New York licensure is preferred.
