This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop Alpaca Health's comprehensive guide on "how to open an ABA center."
• Provide insights on market and site selection.
• Offer guidance on lease/LOI and tenant improvement build-out.
• Advise on ABA-appropriate floor plans and room designs, including sensory-friendly spaces.
• Assist with payer credentialing/enrollment and licensing for new locations.
• Counsel on equipment and vendor selection, covering security, cameras, and access control.
• Provide advice on standardizing and financing equipment.
• Evaluate site intelligence and in-clinic product concepts.
• Guide on staffing ramp-up, room utilization, and center-based unit economics.
• Help mitigate the risks of expansion outpacing BCBA/RBT hiring and fixed costs conflicting with reimbursement pressures.
• Mentor provider partners through their clinic launches over time.
• Collaborate directly with Alpaca Health's founding team to design the clinic expansion program and associated products.
• Must have personally opened and scaled multiple center-based ABA clinics or closely related multi-site pediatric therapy/behavioral health clinics.
• Experience in launching new clinics from the ground up, rather than just managing existing locations.
• Familiarity with the entire stand-up lifecycle: real estate, build-out, licensing, credentialing, equipment, staffing, and utilization.
• Knowledge of ABA/behavioral health reimbursement processes, including Medicaid and commercial reimbursement.
• Understanding of staffing ratios and the dynamics of RBT/BCBA labor.
• BCBA or leadership experience in ABA clinical operations is a plus.
• Experience with multi-state expansion is advantageous.
• Established relationships with ABA-focused healthcare real estate, general contractors, or equipment vendors are a bonus.
• Comfortable with compliance-first arrangements, including fair market value, Anti-Kickback/Stark laws, and corporate practice of medicine considerations, is a plus.
• Ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor; own consultancy is welcome.
• Part-time, hourly (1099) engagement.
• Flexibility to work remotely.
• Optional occasional travel to pilot markets.
• Simple monthly invoicing.
