This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create and execute the operationalization and implementation strategy for the Global Alliance for Literacy Community of Practice on the Moodle-based UIL Learning Hub.
• Establish access, participation, and contribution frameworks for members of the Global Alliance for Literacy.
• Develop the operational structure of the Community of Practice, including its Advocacy, Policy and Programme Innovation, and Literacy Foresights Labs.
• Engage with relevant UIL teams to determine how the functionalities of the UIL Learning Hub can support the GAL Action Plan.
• Align operational roles with Learning Hub roles and permissions.
• Define processes for account creation, linking GAL membership, onboarding, participant journeys, language preferences, accessibility, and strategies for low-bandwidth environments.
• Suggest Lab structures, including open and restricted areas, activities, resources, and activity templates.
• Formulate phased activation strategies and develop the initial programming and activity calendar for 2027.
• Create a framework for operational coordination and community management, which encompasses moderation, participation, data protection, content ownership, and licensing.
• Identify indicators within the Learning Hub that can measure the results of the GAL Action Plan for annual reporting.
• Draft an outline for a virtual launch workshop.
• Collaborate with UIL, revise the work based on feedback, and produce the final implementation plan along with the launch workshop outline.
• Advanced university degree in education, lifelong learning, adult learning and education, or a similar field.
• A minimum of seven years of pertinent professional experience in adult learning and education.
• Proven expertise in the field of literacy.
• Fluency in both English and French.
• Native-level proficiency in English for work-related tasks.
• Capability to generate drafts and reports that meet publishable standards.
• Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, referencing, document structure, bibliography consistency, and acronym management.
• Ability to submit a comprehensive PDF proposal totaling no more than 5 pages, including the required project approach, financial proposal, and a brief CV.
