Consultant, Finance and Digitalization – Fintech SaaS Scale-Up

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Represent the voice of customers in Germany and ensure their success with the Pennylane platform.

• Onboard new clients from companies and accounting firms onto the Pennylane platform thoroughly.

• Guarantee that new customers quickly obtain maximum value from the solution.

• Act as the main point of contact for existing customers.

• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with customers.

• Identify opportunities for upselling.

• Ensure customers utilize Pennylane effectively to reach their business objectives.

• Conduct regular health assessments and reviews.

• Maximize customer satisfaction and retention while minimizing churn.

• Collaborate closely with the German sales team and management.

• Streamline processes for greater efficiency.

• Provide insights on product requirements.

• Contribute to the strategic expansion of Pennylane in Germany.

• Become an expert on the German finance and accounting landscape and share that expertise with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional experience in accounting, account management, or a similar customer-facing position.

• Ideally, experience in an accounting firm or alternatively in SaaS or fintech industries.

• Completed vocational training as a tax clerk, tax specialist, or certified tax advisor, or possess a degree in a finance-related discipline.

• Profound understanding of the needs of businesses and/or tax advisors regarding finance, invoicing, and bookkeeping.

• Excellent communication skills coupled with empathy.

• Capability to explain complex topics in a clear and straightforward manner.

• Proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on mentality.

• Openness to help establish processes from the ground up within an early-stage team.

• Willingness to travel for onboarding at the Paris headquarters and for regular customer visits in Germany, approximately once a month.

• Business-level proficiency in German at C2 or native level.

• Fluency in English.

• Passion for a dynamic work environment.

• Strong teamwork abilities.

• Adequate experience to align daily responsibilities with business priorities.
