Construction Project Manager – EV Charging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned projects effectively.

• Collaborate with the project team and maintain clear communication with the client.

• Manage and oversee project scope, budget, and timeline objectives.

• Provide support for a prominent client on multiple installations of EV charging stations.

• Plan, oversee, and coordinate all elements of the project’s schedule, scope, and costs.

• Implement value engineering by identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring equivalent material substitutions.

• Engage with and manage project stakeholders effectively.

• Create the Project Management plan along with the fee budget/proposal at the beginning of the project.

• Assess documents and relay the client’s specific goals and expectations to the project team.

• Develop and share action plans throughout the project lifecycle.

• Collaborate with the cost management team on estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation.

• Navigate permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.

• Ensure that project design management aligns with client documents, including budget, scope, schedule, and design standards.

• Prepare cost and revenue forecasts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing complex electrical or industrial construction projects.

• Willingness to travel semi-locally a few days each week.

• Experience in preparing Project Management Plans and fee/budget proposals.

• Skilled in developing and implementing action plans.

• Proven ability to monitor project scope and recommend adjustments as necessary.

• Capable of preparing and communicating cost and revenue forecasts.

• Familiarity with the permitting process and the ability to expedite it to meet project deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 5 years in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.

• Preference for candidates with electrical project experience.

• Preferred Certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED.

• Must be located near an airport in the Northeast region.
