Construction Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of multi-million-dollar construction, refrigeration, and controls project portfolios.

• Take charge of project financials, administration, implementation, management, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Guide project teams through every aspect of projects and act as the designated stakeholder point of contact.

• Assist in sales efforts by preparing quotes, developing projects, and crafting proposals.

• Confirm project scope, costs, and schedules by reviewing contracts and conducting pre-bid activities.

• Manage change orders by identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, applying pricing strategies, and closing orders.

• Foster customer satisfaction and maintain relationships, communication plans, and provide timely project updates.

• Select and oversee qualified subcontractors, including handling RFQs, awards, execution, billing, safety, and communications.

• Administer project cash flow, forecasts, expenses, collections support, applied costs, buy-out plans, and backlog reviews.

• Develop and manage project schedules, task dependencies, milestones, critical paths, resource assignments, and future planning.

• Collaborate with Controls Project Managers on tasks, communications, plans, specifications, and control submittals.

• Lead project administration, ensuring contract compliance, penalty and liquidated-damages requirements, corrective actions, documentation, safety guidelines, and adherence to governing-agency requirements.

• Advanced knowledge of the development phase in relation to construction energy projects and opportunities.

• Familiarity with construction systems and technologies.

• Exceptional leadership, mentoring, organizational, verbal communication, and written communication skills.

• Capability to influence without formal authority.

• Proven ability to successfully lead a project team.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to secure a General Contracting license is advantageous.

• Experience with project schedules and project management construction software.

• Willingness to travel 25% to 50% of the time.

• This is a safety-sensitive role; passing additional drug screening may be required.
