Construction Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage residential and commercial construction projects throughout California, Texas, and North Carolina from the preconstruction phase to project closeout.

• Develop and uphold project schedules, budgets, scopes, and milestones for ongoing construction activities.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field teams, inspectors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and scope-compliant project progress.

• Evaluate drawings, specifications, proposals, change orders, and project documentation for accuracy and readiness for execution.

• Monitor project expenses, authorize invoices, oversee change orders, and report budgetary risks prior to affecting profitability.

• Facilitate regular project meetings with field teams, subcontractors, clients, and leadership to address issues and ensure accountability.

• Supervise quality, safety, scheduling, and compliance standards across various active job sites.

• Assist with permitting, inspections, procurement, and material coordination as necessary to avoid project delays.

• Keep comprehensive project records, status reports, and closeout documentation for all assigned projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management with direct responsibility for residential and commercial projects.

• Proven experience overseeing projects across multiple job sites, regions, or markets.

• Strong knowledge of construction schedules, budgets, subcontractor management, drawings, specifications, and closeout procedures.

• Experience collaborating with subcontractors, field supervisors, vendors, inspectors, and client-facing project stakeholders.

• Proficiency in using construction project management tools, scheduling software, spreadsheets, and digital documentation platforms.

• Capability to manage projects remotely while ensuring effective communication, accountability, and visibility in the field.

• Must possess direct project ownership experience, rather than just assistant project management or coordination roles.

• Experience in residential-only or commercial-only projects may be considered, but candidates with exposure to both residential and commercial projects are highly preferred.
