This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take full responsibility and provide leadership for all projects, ensuring alignment with design, budget, and timeline.
• Direct project teams while fostering strong relationships with existing clients.
• Create departmental work plans that encompass construction projects and facilities service operations.
• Allocate work tasks and assess projects and contracts for adherence to standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders regarding capital planning and construction matters.
• Formulate and manage budgets for facilities services and construction projects.
• Oversee and authorize expenditures.
• Establish and execute divisional goals and strategies.
• Engage in strategic planning and goal-setting initiatives.
• Collaborate with and supervise third-party agencies, vendors, and contractors as the Company’s representative.
• Counsel executive leaders and professional teams on pertinent issues.
• Prepare and deliver reports and correspondence.
• Create RFQs, RFPs, bids, contracts, and proposals.
• Represent the organization in agreements, negotiating and managing contracts with agencies, vendors, architects, engineers, operators, and other entities.
• Oversee property rentals, leases, and property management duties.
• Develop, execute, and assess strategies to ensure facilities are safe, functional, secure, clean, and orderly.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or a minimum of 15 years of relevant construction experience.
• At least 10 years of Construction Management/Engineering experience, preferably in Mission Critical/Data Center or Heavy Industrial sectors.
• PMP Certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with BIM and a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading large cross-functional teams and/or managing personnel.
• Capability to build and lead effective construction teams within a large General Contractor environment.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, CSI building codes, and industry best practices.
• Experience with Owner/Design/Contractor agreements and the ability to address project-related issues in line with agreement terms.
• MBA, Master’s in Engineering, Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with construction management software, such as ProCore and P6.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with the MS Suite of Products.
• Experience in developing project cost proposals and negotiating agreement terms between the company and clients.
