Construction Project Coordinator – Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in establishing projects within client and/or company project management systems.

• Upload and arrange necessary project documentation.

• Update project status and key milestone dates under the guidance of the project team.

• Draft, distribute, and monitor contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.

• Maintain orderly project files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Verify and process payment documentation for contractors and vendors.

• Gather, coordinate, and submit project close-out materials.

• Compile and disseminate reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide assistance to program management teams supporting construction projects for national brands.

• Gain insights into project management processes, tools, and the construction lifecycle from real estate planning to closeout.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in construction management, business management, or a related field, aiming for project coordinator or project management roles after graduation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with project teams, management, clients, contractors, and vendors.

• Ability to operate effectively in a remote work environment.

• Capability to prioritize and manage a varied workload.

• A proactive eagerness to learn and a strong ambition to excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to tolerate ambiguity and work efficiently within a diverse workplace.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet is preferred.

• Willingness to travel 10–50% as required, including potential weekly site visits.

• Ability to work multi-shift schedules when necessary for active retail locations.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive or proprietary project information.
