This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the site-based execution of medium to large projects with budgets ranging from $50M to $100M.

• Create ambitious site-focused project plans, which include commissioning and integration, and lead the entire on-site execution process.

• Manage the profit and loss along with the budget for all site-related expenditures.

• Handle site-based contracts that involve significant project risks and complex equipment installations.

• Comprehend contracts and mitigate associated risks effectively.

• Prevent and address claims as necessary.

• Supervise quality, timelines, costs, and the provision of information.

• Report and escalate any nonconformities to the customer and the project manager.

• Mobilize the entire site-based organization and integrate it with the internal team.

• Negotiate with clients and subcontractors, managing contract matters professionally.

• Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management both within and outside of Vanderlande.

• Assume responsibility for site-related challenges.

• Ensure high-quality execution of the installation process in accordance with the Vanderlande process map.

• Develop, implement, and enforce the site safety plan.

• Coordinate all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities on site.

• Communicate with customers regarding project progress, out-of-scope work, and site-related matters.

• Travel 80% to 90% of the time for project-related work.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience managing complex projects and systems.

• Leadership skills to foster a cohesive and motivated project team.

• Proven experience in on-site management of larger and more complex installations featuring a high degree of automation.

• Capability to lead a team of mechanical and electrical supervisors.

• Strong understanding of contract law.

• Experience acting as an on-site representative while establishing client relationships.

• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances to work on Vanderlande project sites.

• Valid passport in case international travel is required.

• Must hold a valid driver's license.

• Willingness to travel up to 80% to 90% domestically.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.

• Experience with material handling systems is a plus.

• OSHA Certification is preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Awareness of international and multicultural dynamics.

• Skills in resource planning and site organization.

• Safety consciousness at the project manager level.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

• Proactive and decisive approach.

• Ability to communicate effectively and hear regularly, occasionally lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and bend at the knees to inspect pallets or read packing lists.
